Properties: Basil is a very soothing, antidepressant, energizing and toning oil. It is light, fresh, fruity-spicy with a balsamic, anise-like undertone also referred to as sweet basil oil. Effective remedy for migraine headaches and sinus congestion.

Use Suggestions: Apply a few drops of Sweet Basil Oil to a tissue and inhale to relieve sinus congestion, or add to a diffuser. Blend with grapeseed or olive oil to make it less concentrated. Then add it to sauces and salad dressings, or stir into savory dishes before serving. Taste just like freshly harvested basil.

Blends well with:
Flower Oils: Lavender, Clary Sage, and Rose Geranium
Peel Oils: Bergamot
Herb Oils: Thyme
Wood Oils: Cedarwood

Overall Scent: A sweet licorice-like aroma basil oil aroma, can also be described as fresh and fruity.
